Bloody Point Lighthouse is hosting a Fall Harvest Fest, October 1, 2016 from 3pm-7pm. Join us for food, fun, historical presentations, and games for the kids. No admission cost for presentations. We will also have a Pig Roast and Oyster Roast. Cost to eat will be $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12 years of age. Includes all you can eat pork, oysters, sides, nonalcoholic drink. Beer and Wine bar available at an additional cost.
Don’t miss out on the presentation by Glenn Roberts, of Carolina Gold Rice, who will be preparing rice from Bloody Point Light House field. He will be speaking on the history of Carolina Gold Rice. Glenn is known around the world for his expertise. Mr. Roberts is the founder of Anson Mills. Also, Leanne Coulter of Daufuskie Blues, will be demonstrating Indigo dyeing. She will discuss it’s uses and how it originally came to the Carolinas.

Conservancy presentation “Cultivating a Carolina Yard” by Dr. Amy Scaroni, Program Coordinator for Carolina Clear, a storm water education program of Clemson Extension.
Amy will discuss storm water management, retention and detention ponds, rain barrels, rain gardens and will answer any questions you have about water use and conservation on Daufuskie.
